Going out into the street is a performance

Public spaces are like vast stages where we witness thousands of performances every day. When we step out onto the street, we become characters in this grand theater, where our appearance, actions, and the costumes or masks we wear to reveal or conceal ourselves cause society to look at us and judge us in different ways.

In this workshop for teenagers and young people, we’ll learn to construct a performance with Sara Manubens. We’ll talk about gender performativity from a feminist and queer perspective and, through a collective artistic process, we’ll disrupt the everydayness of public spaces with a group performance.
