Hood Workshop

The second feminist-LGBT+ focused workshop for kids and young people is here! The Aliança Monstruosa is organizing this event in collaboration with the BCN Neighborhood Plan. This time, we’ll spend the afternoon creating, sewing, and embroidering super cool hoods with Tropi, an expert in sewing, drawing, and being a professional hood enthusiast.

The hood is a symbol of rebellion, a tool to express collective identities. As we chat, sew, and embroider our masks, we’ll discuss how embroidery and sewing are collective acts that allow us to build affective networks, chat, do crafts, and have a good time. Materials will be provided, but if you have elastic fabrics, ribbons, glitter, and sequins, feel free to bring them to personalize your hood or share with the group.
