This book tells a love story in Santiago de Chile in 1986, the year Pinochet was assassinated. A guy from Frente Patriótico Manuel Rodríguez, who will take part in the action, lives a romantic relationship with a sissy who supports him, without knowing it but knowingly, in his political plans. The scene is exactly that of the year that could have been decisive but wasn’t: the protests, the smoking tires in the streets of the capital, the blackouts, the boleros, Pinochet struggling in privacy with his ghosts and his nightmares… And with a Lucía, his wife, obsessed with Nina Ricci’s latest models; and the Loca del Frente, protagonist and witness, endearing carnivalesque character, bridge between dreams and misfortune.
