On March 21st at 6:30 p.m., as part of the commemorative events organized by @lesmusescultura for International Women’s Day, @sb_enpositiu invites you to the cineforum ‘MIGRXS I DISSIDENTXS’ where we will screen a short film from the LGTBIQA+ Peru Diversiva Film Festival.
Our colleagues from @perudiversiva will present the short film ‘LOXORO’, a Peruvian short film directed by Claudia Llosa and released in 2011, presented within the framework of the Fronteras project by the cable television network TNT. The film aims to reflect on the concept of borders from the perspective of the barriers that exist within the gay and transgender community in Peru. “Loxoro” is the encrypted language used by the transgender community in Peru to maintain their privacy and protect themselves from aggression.
After the screening, we invite you to participate in the roundtable discussion, where we will be joined by colleagues from Peru Diversiva and our guest Ali Latchinian (@linayali_), a transgender rights activist and member of a diverse family, because feminism without transgender women is not feminism, it’s transphobia.
